The SHP Experience:
I. Book the date.
I'll make note of your due date on my calendar and leave a few dates open around that time. Already had your baby? No problem! Contact me and let's get you scheduled!
II. Plan session & Take photos.
You'll receive a welcome email that includes a questionnaire, prep guide, and a code to access my online interactive styling service. From styling to preparing your home, I've got you covered. Let me know when baby arrives and we'll schedule the exact date for your session.
I'll arrive to your home a few minutes early and meet everyone in your family. After introductions, I'll walk around your home to see where the best light is. Then we'll start creating beautiful memories you'll treasure forever!
III. Deliver memories.
Sneak peeks will be posted a few days after your session and within three weeks you'll be sent a link to view all your images in a slideshow set to music. Your gallery will open a couple days later and then the really fun part begins-spending your print credit!

WHERE WILL MY NEWBORN SESSION TAKE PLACE?
Lifestyle newborn sessions take place in the comfort of your own home.
WHAT AGE DOES MY NEWBORN HAVE TO BE?
As a lifestyle newborn photographer, I have more flexibility with the scheduling of your newborn session. I have photographed newborn sessions from birth-2 months.
DO YOU POSE THE BABY?
While I do place baby in the best light and swaddle younger babies, there is no formal posing that takes place. I will photograph the baby alone and in the family's arms - the best place for a newborn to be!
WHEN SHOULD WE BOOK A NEWBORN SESSION?
Ideally, it's best to book your session while you are still pregnant. I note your due date and keep a few dates open around that time frame. If you have already had your baby, get in touch with me and I would be more than happy to try and accommodate you.
CAN YOU HOLD A SESSION DATE FOR US?
All bookings are first come/ first serve. To keep it fair, I cannot hold a date without a retainer fee & signed session contract.
WHAT IS YOUR PAYMENT SCHEDULE?
In order to officially book your session, a non-refundable retainer fee is required of 50% of the collection price. The remaining balance is due 1 week before your due date or the session.
DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
Yes! Payment plans are offered. Inquire for more information.
IS THERE A TRAVEL FEE?
Locations greater than 25 miles from Plainfield, Indiana, will be charged a $1/mile fee.
WHEN CAN WE EXPECT OUR PHOTOS RETURNED TO US?
Your online gallery will be available within 3 weeks after your session.
WHEN CAN WE EXPECT OUR PRINT PRODUCTS?
Prints can be order directly from your gallery and delivered to your door with 2 weeks after your order has been placed.
WHAT ARE WE ALLOWED TO DO WITH OUR DIGITAL FILES?
Each collection comes with a print release that allows you to enjoy your photos! You are more than welcome to add them to your social media & print them where you desire. However, you can not alter them or use the images beyond personal use.
